Pig iron is the clean, known-chemistry charge that lets a foundry or melt shop hit its specification consistently, diluting the tramp elements that come in with scrap and holding carbon where the process needs it.
Supplied to defined trade grades with controlled sizing and residual limits, so the charge mix behaves the same way heat after heat. Radiation screened at load port and on discharge, with third-party survey on request.
The most accurate way to add reactive and expensive elements into liquid steel, with tight fill-weight control for repeatable recovery. Standard diameters 9, 13 and 16 mm; coils of typically 1,000–2,000 kg on steel dispatch cradles.
The full working range of bulk and noble ferro alloys in lump, granule, chip and fines sizing. Analysis and sizing are fixed at order stage and confirmed on the mill test certificate. Jumbo bags or steel drums; trial quantities to annual call-off.
